Goat and Sheep Fixed Knot Fence EXPLAINED

Learn about fixed-know fences for goats and sheep.<br /><br />The 1348 mesh pattern is a great mesh pattern for a number of different applications. It's great for sheep. For goats.<br /><br />For the sheep and goats it's good because there are small openings that prevent predators from coming in.<br /><br />In this application, we even have an electric wire that runs here at the bottom so that if a predator did come in to try to dig underneath the fence then the predator gets shocked here.<br /><br />Additionally, goats that have horns can't stick their heads through. Sometimes goats on a larger mesh opening can stick their heads through. Their horns get stuck, and they can't get out. So this is a good selection for goats with horns.<br /><br />This also works well for yards, bigger yards for domestic dogs. Works well to keep wild dogs out as well. <br /><br />So this being a tight mesh also functions good for horses. Where the horses, if they're pawing, that they don't get their hooves into the mesh.<br /><br />At about 4 to 5 inches above this mesh, which is 48 inches tall, we put another strand of barbed wire. This is optional, but this gives a little extra height to the fence. Also, is some deterrents from climbing or jumping.<br /><br />Once again, 1348-3. The 13 is for the 13 horizontal wires. The 48 stands for the height. The overall height of this fence, which is 48 inches. And the last digit, which is a three, is the spacing vertically. These are called vertical stay wires. So stay wires are on three-inch centers and each one of those is affixed to the horizontal wires with the fixed knot, which is extremely durable, strong.<br /><br />This fence is an incredibly strong fence, lots of material.
